STFstugor

STFstugor refers to the network of cabins managed by the Swedish Tourist Association (Svenska Turistföreningen or STF). These cabins provide accommodation for hikers, skiers, and other outdoor enthusiasts across Sweden, particularly in scenic and remote areas. The primary purpose of STFstugor is to make nature accessible and to encourage responsible tourism.

The network ranges from basic, self-service huts where guests sign in and pay in a honesty box, to more fully serviced mountain stations with staff, shops, and even restaurants. Many STFstugor are located along popular hiking trails such as the Kungsleden (King's Trail) in the north of Sweden, but they are also found in forests, along coastlines, and in other natural landscapes. Visitors typically need to be STF members to receive discounted rates or to access certain facilities.
