SMStekniikka

SMStekniikka, or Short Message Service (SMS) technology, is a text messaging service component of mobile communication systems. It allows the exchange of short text messages between mobile devices. SMStekniikka operates over a mobile network, using the signaling channel of the network to deliver messages. The SMS protocol defines a maximum message size of 160 characters for standard messages. For messages longer than 160 characters, the protocol supports concatenated SMS, which splits the message into multiple parts and reassembles them at the receiving end.
