SKUvariante
SKUvariante is a term used in inventory management and retail to describe a specific version or configuration of a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU). An SKU is a unique identifier for a product in a company's inventory. When a product comes in multiple variations, such as different sizes, colors, or materials, each distinct variation is assigned its own SKUvariante. For example, a t-shirt might have a base SKU for "T-Shirt." However, if it is available in red, blue, and green, and in sizes small, medium, and large, then each combination (e.g., "T-Shirt Red Small," "T-Shirt Blue Medium") would be a distinct SKUvariante.
The purpose of using SKUvariantes is to accurately track inventory levels for each individual product variation.
