SDSSII
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey II (SDSS-II) was an astronomical survey conducted between 2005 and 2008, as a follow-up to the original Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-I). The primary goal of SDSS-II was to further explore the properties of galaxies and quasars, and to study the large-scale structure of the universe. The survey used a dedicated 2.5-meter telescope at Apache Point Observatory in New Mexico, equipped with a wide-field camera and two multi-object spectrographs.
SDSS-II consisted of several programs, including the Legacy Survey, which mapped one-quarter of the sky, and
The data collected by SDSS-II was made publicly available, allowing astronomers worldwide to analyze the data
