The SCRkatalysator, also known as a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst, is an emission control device used in internal combustion engines, particularly diesel engines, to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. The SCR system works by injecting a reductant, typically urea-based Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), into the exhaust stream. This fluid reacts with NOx in the presence of the SCR catalyst, converting it into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O), which are harmless and naturally occurring compounds.

The SCRkatalysator is a crucial component in modern vehicles designed to meet stringent environmental regulations, such as the Euro 6 standards in Europe and the Tier 4 standards in the United States.
