SBIcodes refers to a system of standardized codes used by the State Bank of India (SBI) for various internal and external purposes. These codes are essential for managing transactions, identifying branches, and facilitating communication within the banking network and with customers.

One of the most common types of SBIcodes encountered is the IFSC (Indian Financial System Code). This 11-character alphanumeric code uniquely identifies each bank branch in India participating in the online money transfer system. The first four digits of the IFSC code represent the bank, which is always 'SBIN' for the State Bank of India. The fifth digit is a '0' for future use. The last six digits represent the specific branch.
