SACBi
SACBi, or the South African Council for the Built Environment, is a statutory council established under the Council for the Built Environment Act, 1995 (Act No. 43 of 1995) in South Africa. Its primary mandate is to promote and protect the interests of the built environment professions and to ensure that these professions contribute effectively to the social and economic development of the country. The council acts as an umbrella body for the various professional councils within the built environment sector, which include architects, quantity surveyors, land surveyors, engineers, town planners, and landscape architects.
