Wind power uses turbines to capture kinetic energy from the wind. Hydropower generates electricity from the movement of water, typically through dams. Geothermal energy taps into the Earth's internal heat. Biomass energy is derived from organic matter. These renewable methods generally have a lower environmental footprint, but their availability can be intermittent (solar and wind) or geographically dependent (hydro and geothermal).
