Rückfokalraum, or back focal plane, refers to a specific region in optical systems. It is the plane conjugate to the object plane, located behind the lens system. In essence, it's where light rays from a distant object converge after passing through the optical system. When light from a point source enters an optical system, it is refracted and then converges at a point in the Rückfokalraum.
