Ryggekamera

Ryggekamera, also known as a backup camera or reversing camera, is a type of video camera mounted on the rear of a vehicle to aid drivers in parking and reversing. It provides a live video feed of the area directly behind the vehicle, significantly reducing the risk of accidents and collisions. Typically, the camera is activated automatically when the vehicle is shifted into reverse gear.

The primary function of a ryggekamera is to display blind spots that are not visible to the driver through the mirrors. This is particularly useful for detecting low-lying obstacles, pedestrians, children, or other vehicles that might be too close to be seen otherwise. Many systems also include dynamic parking lines, which are overlayed on the video feed and indicate the vehicle's projected path based on the current steering angle.
