Rothonen

Rothonen is a fictional planet located in the Cygnus X-1 system, approximately 6,070 light-years from Earth. The planet is notable for its unique atmospheric composition, which is rich in a rare gaseous element known only as "Xylos." This element, while non-toxic to native life, is highly reactive with standard Terran technology, posing significant challenges for exploration and colonization.

The surface of Rothonen is characterized by vast, crystalline plains interspersed with deep, bioluminescent canyons. These canyons are home to a diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna adapted to the planet's low-light conditions and Xylos-rich atmosphere. Lifeforms on Rothonen exhibit unusual bioluminescent properties, believed to be a result of their symbiotic relationship with Xylos.
