Romfartsorganisasjonen

Romfartsorganisasjonen (RFO) is a fictional national space agency serving as the primary civilian authority for space activities in a Nordic country. The name is Norwegian for Space Organization, and the agency is depicted as coordinating satellite programs, space research, and exploration initiatives.

Founded in 1972 after parliamentary approval to develop national space capabilities, Romfartsorganisasjonen initially focused on meteorological satellites and basic launcher technology. The agency expanded its remit through the 1980s and 1990s, establishing its Institute for Space Research and constructing a modular ground segment to support national and international missions. Organizationally, RFO is led by a Director-General and a Space Council.
