Rna-sensorijärjestelmä is a Finnish term that translates to "RNA sensor system." This refers to a collection of biological molecules and cellular processes that detect and respond to the presence of RNA molecules within a cell. In eukaryotes, these systems are crucial for gene regulation, innate immunity, and maintaining RNA homeostasis.

One of the primary roles of RNA sensor systems is to differentiate between self RNA (produced by the organism itself) and non-self RNA (such as viral RNA). This distinction is vital for the immune system to identify and eliminate invading pathogens.
