Riverdance
Riverdance is a stage show that combines traditional Irish music and dance. It originated as a seven-minute interval act for the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, performed in Dublin. The act was conceived by Irish producers John McColgan and Moya Doherty, with music composed by Bill Whelan and choreography by Michael Flatley and Jean Butler. Following its success at Eurovision, Riverdance was expanded into a full-length theatrical production which premiered in Dublin in 1995.
