Ristõmbega is an Estonian term referring to a specific type of joint used in woodworking, particularly in furniture making and construction. It translates literally to "cross-pull" or "cross-tension," indicating the way the joint is designed to resist forces. The ristõmbega joint is characterized by interlocking pieces that are pulled tightly together, creating a strong and stable connection.
