Riskierinevus is a hypothetical biological phenomenon that describes the potential for an organism to evolve traits that increase its susceptibility to certain environmental risks, rather than enhancing its survival or reproductive success in the face of those risks. This concept deviates from the traditional understanding of natural selection, which favors adaptations that improve an organism's fitness.

Theories surrounding riskierinevus suggest that such a trait could arise under specific, albeit unusual, evolutionary pressures. For instance, it might occur in environments where the benefits of a risky trait, such as increased resource acquisition or access to mates, temporarily outweigh the increased danger.
