The Resourcesat-1 satellite, also known as IRS-P6, was an Indian Remote Sensing satellite launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It was launched on October 17, 2003, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. Resourcesat-1 was part of ISRO's ongoing program to develop and deploy advanced remote sensing capabilities for Earth observation.
