Rinnankytkentäinen describes a configuration in electrical circuits where multiple components are connected in parallel. This means that the current from the source divides, with each component receiving a portion of the total current. The voltage across each parallel component is the same, equal to the voltage of the source. This contrasts with a sarjaan kytketty or series connection, where components are linked end-to-end and share the total voltage.
