Rhônexpress

Rhônexpress is a tram-train service connecting Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport (LYS) with the city center of Lyon, France. It operates on a dedicated track for most of its route, offering a fast and efficient transfer option for travelers. The service terminates at the Gare de Lyon-Part-Dieu, a major railway station and business district in Lyon.

The journey time for Rhônexpress is approximately 30 minutes. It makes a limited number of stops along its route, including at the Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie metro station, which provides a connection to Lyon's metro system. This intermediate stop allows passengers to access other parts of the city without needing to travel all the way to Part-Dieu.

Rhônexpress is operated by a public-private partnership, with Keolis Lyon managing the day-to-day operations under a concession agreement. The service aims to provide an environmentally friendly alternative to road transport, reducing traffic congestion and carbon emissions associated with airport travel. Tickets can be purchased online, at ticket machines, or from onboard staff. The tram-trains are designed to be accessible for passengers with luggage and those with reduced mobility.
