Restrückstände
Restrückstände refers to remaining liabilities or debts that were not settled during a bankruptcy or insolvency proceeding. When a company or individual files for bankruptcy, the goal is to liquidate assets to pay off creditors as much as possible. However, it is often the case that the total value of assets is insufficient to cover all outstanding debts. The portion of the debt that remains unpaid after the distribution of assets is considered a Restrückstand.
