Replikeringsflödet

Replikeringsflödet, also known as the replication fork, is a critical process in DNA replication, where the double-stranded DNA molecule is unwound and separated into two single strands. This process is essential for the accurate duplication of genetic information during cell division. The replikeringsflödet is initiated at specific sites on the DNA called origins of replication. These sites contain specific DNA sequences that are recognized by proteins involved in the initiation of replication.

The replikeringsflödet proceeds in a bidirectional manner, with two replication forks moving away from the origin of replication in opposite directions.
