Reparametrizációk

Reparametrization refers to the process of changing the variable of integration in a definite or indefinite integral. It is a fundamental technique in calculus used to simplify integrals or to evaluate them when a direct approach is difficult. The core idea is to introduce a new variable, often denoted by a different letter like 'u' or 't', and express the original variable and the differential in terms of this new variable.

The method typically involves two steps. First, a substitution is made where the new variable is defined in terms of the original variable. Second, the differential of the original variable is expressed in terms of the differential of the new variable using differentiation. For definite integrals, the limits of integration must also be transformed to correspond to the new variable.

Reparametrization can be particularly useful when dealing with integrals involving composite functions, square roots, or trigonometric expressions. By choosing an appropriate substitution, the integral can often be transformed into a simpler form that is easier to integrate using standard integration rules. This technique is closely related to the chain rule in differentiation. Mastering reparametrization is crucial for solving a wide range of calculus problems.
