Relékontakt

Relékontakt refers to the physical connection or disconnection points within an electrical relay that open or close a circuit. A relay is an electrically operated switch that uses an electromagnet to operate a switch mechanism. The contacts are the components that carry the current of the switched circuit. When the relay's coil is energized, it creates a magnetic field that moves an armature, which in turn opens or closes the contacts.

There are several types of relay contacts. Normally open (NO) contacts are in an open state when the relay coil is de-energized and close when the coil is energized. Normally closed (NC) contacts are in a closed state when the relay coil is de-energized and open when the coil is energized. Changeover contacts, also known as single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contacts, have a common terminal that is connected to either the NO or NC contact, allowing a circuit to be switched from one to another.

The current-carrying capacity and voltage rating of the contacts determine the maximum load they can safely handle.
