Computation: The metric is described as a weighted combination of two components: a semantic relevance component R and a trust or consistency component T. A common form is relevanciaszrést = αR + (1−α)T, with α between 0 and 1. R is computed through embeddings or other similarity measures between the query and the document. T aggregates source credibility signals, redundancy across independent sources, and detected contradictions.

Applications: It is proposed for ranking results in search, filtering AI-generated content, aiding fact-checking, and improving result diversity by balancing relevance with reliability.

Limitations: The approach relies on reliable credibility signals which can be biased or manipulated. Determining appropriate α, measuring T, and calibrating across domains remain challenging. It is not yet widely standardized.
