Regelgrößen

Regelgrößen are fundamental concepts in control engineering and systems theory. They represent the quantities or variables within a system that are being monitored, controlled, or manipulated to achieve a desired outcome. In essence, a Regelgröße is the output or state of a system that a controller aims to regulate. This can range from simple physical quantities like temperature, pressure, or speed to more abstract metrics such as financial figures or inventory levels.

The process of control typically involves comparing the measured value of a Regelgröße to a setpoint, which is the desired target value. The difference between these two, known as the error signal, is then used by a controller to generate a control signal.
