Redutseerij is a term derived from the Estonian word "redutseerima," meaning to reduce. In its simplest sense, a redutseerij refers to a device or substance that causes reduction. In chemistry, a redutseerij, often referred to as a reducing agent or reductant, is a chemical species that donates electrons to another chemical species in a redox (reduction-oxidation) reaction.
