Rasztterreprezentációk refer to raster representations or raster graphics. This is a method of storing digital images. An image is divided into a grid of individual picture elements, called pixels. Each pixel has a specific color and brightness value. These pixels are arranged in rows and columns, forming a larger image. When viewed at a high level, these pixels combine to create the illusion of a continuous image. Common file formats for raster graphics include JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP. Raster images are resolution-dependent, meaning that when they are enlarged beyond their original size, the individual pixels become visible, leading to a loss of image quality and a blocky appearance. This is in contrast to vector graphics, which are based on mathematical equations and can be scaled infinitely without losing quality. Raster graphics are widely used for photographs, digital paintings, and web graphics where detailed color gradations are important. Editing raster images typically involves manipulating the individual pixels or groups of pixels.
