Raioni

Raioni is a term used in several Eastern European countries, most notably in Ukraine and Moldova, to denote a type of administrative division. In Ukraine, a raion (район) is a subdivision of an oblast (province) or an autonomous republic. These districts are responsible for local governance and administration within their territories.
