RHértékek, also known as Relative Humidity (RH), is a measure of the amount of water vapor present in the air relative to the maximum amount of water vapor the air can hold at a given temperature. It is expressed as a percentage, ranging from 0% to 100%.

When the air is saturated with water vapor, its RH is 100%. If the air contains no water vapor, its RH is 0%. RH is a crucial factor in many natural phenomena and human activities. For example, it influences the rate of evaporation, affecting plant transpiration, drying processes, and the comfort level for humans and animals. High RH can contribute to the growth of mold and mildew, while low RH can lead to dry skin and respiratory issues.

RH is calculated using the formula: RH = (Actual vapor pressure / Saturation vapor pressure) * 100. Actual vapor pressure is the partial pressure of water vapor in the air, while saturation vapor pressure is the maximum partial pressure water vapor can exert at a specific temperature. As temperature increases, the air's capacity to hold water vapor also increases, meaning that for the same amount of actual water vapor, the RH will decrease as temperature rises. Conversely, as temperature decreases, the RH will increase. RH plays a significant role in weather forecasting, agriculture, food storage, and the preservation of historical artifacts and artworks.
