Rõhureduktori

Rõhureduktor, also known as a pressure regulator, is a mechanical device used to control and maintain a specific outlet pressure of a fluid, typically a gas or liquid, regardless of fluctuations in the inlet pressure or changes in flow rate. It is a crucial component in many industrial, commercial, and domestic applications where precise pressure control is necessary for safety, efficiency, or proper operation.

The fundamental principle of a rõhureduktor's operation involves a balancing act between opposing forces. A diaphragm, sensitive to the downstream pressure, is connected to a valve mechanism. As the outlet pressure rises above the set point, it pushes against the diaphragm, which in turn closes the valve, restricting flow and reducing pressure. Conversely, if the outlet pressure drops, a spring or another force pushes the diaphragm to open the valve further, allowing more fluid to pass and increasing the pressure.

They are commonly found in compressed air systems, gas supply lines for welding and cooking, water distribution networks, and scientific instrumentation.
