Qash

Qash is a cryptocurrency token associated with the Liquid platform, formerly known as Quoine. It was introduced in the late 2010s by the Japanese fintech company Quoine, with the aim of enabling broader access to digital asset markets. The token's symbol is QASH.

QASH was designed to be used within the Liquid ecosystem to pay trading fees, access certain platform services, and participate in memberships or incentive programs offered by the company. The white paper described it as a universal gateway to the liquidity and services provided by Liquid, intended to reduce barriers to entry for investors and traders.

Technically, QASH was issued as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, enabling compatibility with existing wallets and decentralized infrastructure. The project positioned QASH as a core component of the company's strategy to integrate exchange, wallet, and liquidity solutions under one umbrella.

After Quoine reorganized into the Liquid Group around 2019–2020, the token continued to exist within the ecosystem, though its role and prominence varied with product updates and market conditions. Like most crypto assets, its value and use cases have been influenced by broader crypto-market trends, regulatory developments, and the evolution of the Liquid platform.
