QMF, short for Query Management Facility, is a family of database query and reporting tools associated with IBM DB2 environments. It provides an interactive SQL editor, result set display, data browsing, and reporting capabilities; options to design reports, schedule distribution, and export data. It supports multiple DB2 platforms and other databases via adapters. It can run as a client-server or web-based application and stores metadata for reusable queries. It integrates with user security and auditing features of the DB2 environment. It is used for ad hoc data analysis, operational reporting, and data extraction for business intelligence workflows.
