Põhjetapi, also known as Northern Tapi, is a river in Estonia, a country in Northern Europe. It is a tributary of the Emajõgi, one of the longest rivers in Estonia. The river originates in the northern part of Estonia, near the town of Põlva, and flows generally in a northwesterly direction before joining the Emajõgi near the town of Tartu. The river is approximately 100 kilometers long and has a drainage basin of about 1,200 square kilometers.
