Põhja-Sakala is a rural municipality (vald) of Viljandi County, in southern Estonia. It lies in the historic Sakala region and includes the town of Suure-Jaani and numerous villages. The municipality is bordered by other municipalities in Viljandi County and surrounding areas, forming part of the county’s agricultural heartland.
