Päätaajuuksia refers to primary frequencies or fundamental frequencies in Finnish. This concept is often encountered in physics, acoustics, and signal processing. In physics, the primary frequency of a vibrating object, such as a string on a musical instrument or an air column in a wind instrument, is the lowest frequency at which it can vibrate. This fundamental frequency determines the perceived pitch of the sound produced.
