Pulssiradarin

Pulssiradarin, also known as pulsed Doppler radar, is a type of radar system that transmits its pulses intermittently rather than continuously. This intermittent transmission allows the radar to measure the Doppler shift of the reflected signal, which in turn provides information about the velocity of the target. By analyzing the frequency shift of the returned pulses, the radar can determine whether a target is moving towards or away from the radar and at what speed.

The basic principle of pulssiradarin operation involves transmitting short bursts of radio waves and then listening for the echoes. The time it takes for the echo to return indicates the distance to the target, while the Doppler shift reveals its radial velocity. This velocity information is crucial for many applications, such as weather forecasting (detecting wind speed and direction), air traffic control (tracking aircraft speed), and military surveillance (identifying moving targets).
