Próbaanyag

Próbaanyag is a term used in Hungarian to describe material designated for testing, evaluation or demonstration. It is typically distinct from the material intended for production use and is selected to represent a broader batch or category.

In practice, próbaanyag is employed across science, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance. In research and development, it allows investigators to determine properties such as strength, hardness, chemical compatibility, or processing behavior without using full production quantities. In manufacturing and quality control, próbaanyag samples are used to validate process parameters, check instrument calibration, or perform limit tests prior to releasing a production lot. In pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, they may be used for stability testing, method development, or method validation.

Selection and preparation: Criteria include representativeness of the production material, chemical and physical homogeneity, and traceability to a batch or lot. The amount should be sufficient for planned tests, and the material should be clearly labeled, stored under appropriate conditions, and managed with a documented chain of custody. Materials with safety or regulatory concerns require appropriate handling and disposal.

Handling and documentation: próbaanyag should be accompanied by documentation such as origin, date, batch or lot number, storage conditions, and intended tests. It is typically segregated from production stock and returned to storage after testing or disposed of under approved procedures.
