PowerRanger

Power Rangers is an American superhero television franchise created by Haim Saban and produced by Saban Brands. The series is based on the Japanese tokusatsu series Super Sentai, a concept developed by Shotaro Ishinomori and Toei Company. The franchise features a group of ordinary young people who are transformed into a colorful team of superheroes, tasked with saving the Earth from various alien invaders and other villains. Each Power Ranger is identified by a color and a unique Zord, a giant robotic vehicle that can be combined with others to form a Megazord for combat against larger monsters.

The first series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, premiered in 1993 and was a massive commercial success. Its formula of combining footage from Japanese productions with original American scenes, dialogue, and plotlines proved highly popular.
