Polynukleotidkæden
Polynukleotidkæden is the Danish term for a polynucleotide chain. This refers to a long molecule composed of many repeating units called nucleotides. Each nucleotide consists of three components: a phosphate group, a sugar molecule (either deoxyribose or ribose), and a nitrogenous base. In DNA, the sugar is deoxyribose, and the bases are adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T). In RNA, the sugar is ribose, and the bases are adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and uracil (U).
The nucleotides in a polynucleotide chain are linked together by phosphodiester bonds, which connect the phosphate
