Polismyndigheten

Polismyndigheten, or the Swedish Police Authority, is a government agency under the Ministry of Justice responsible for policing across Sweden. It was established on 1 January 2015 as part of a nationwide reform that merged the former National Police Board and the regional police authorities into a single, unified agency tasked with nationwide policing.

The authority's mandate covers crime prevention and investigation, public order, traffic control, and national security considerations.

and
with
the
Public
Prosecution
Authority
on
prosecutions.

participates
in
international
police
cooperation
through
Interpol,
Europol,
and
EU
policing
networks.
