Peterborough may refer to two cities: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, is a cathedral city in the East of England, on the River Nene, about 75 miles north of London. It originated around a Benedictine abbey established in the early second millennium and later elevated to Peterborough Cathedral, a major landmark of the city. Over the centuries it developed from a market town into a regional center for administration and trade. Today it is a transport hub with the East Coast Main Line rail services and road access to the A1(M) and surrounding networks. The economy includes manufacturing, distribution, and public services.
