Pekahiah
Pekahiah, also known as Pekah, was a king of the Northern Kingdom of Israel during the reign of King Jeroboam II. He is mentioned in the Bible, specifically in the Books of Kings and Chronicles. Pekahiah's reign is not extensively detailed in the biblical narrative, but he is known to have reigned for two years. His reign was marked by internal strife and external threats, as the Northern Kingdom of Israel was facing increasing pressure from the Assyrian Empire. Pekahiah's reign ended with his death, and he was succeeded by his son Pekah. The brief reign of Pekahiah highlights the political instability and external pressures that plagued the Northern Kingdom of Israel during the late 9th century BCE.
