Paulaner

Paulaner is a Munich-based German brewing company with a history dating to 1634, when the Paulaner monks of the Neudeck Abbey in Munich began brewing beer to sustain themselves during Lent. The name derives from the Paulaner order. After secularization, monastic production evolved into a commercial brewery that grew to become one of Munich’s best-known beer brands.
