Patole
Patole refers to a traditional Maharashtrian dish primarily made from rice flour and stuffed with a sweet filling. The dough is prepared by mixing rice flour with water and salt, then flattened into a thin pancake. Traditionally, this pancake is cooked on a special clay pot called a 'patali' or 'chul' over a moderate heat.
The most common filling for patole is made from freshly grated coconut and jaggery, though variations exist.
Patole is often prepared during religious festivals and special occasions in Maharashtra, particularly during the Ganesh
