Parubiy

Andriy Parubiy is a Ukrainian politician and public figure who rose to prominence in nationalist political circles in the 1990s and later held senior roles in the Ukrainian parliament. He is best known for serving as the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the country’s parliament, from 2016 to 2019.

In 1991, Parubiy co-founded the Social-National Party of Ukraine (SNPU), a nationalist movement that later contributed to the development of Svoboda, a political party in Ukraine. Across his career, he has been elected to the Verkhovna Rada in multiple convocations and has been associated with various pro-European and nationalist political formations. His parliamentary work has centered on issues such as national security, legislative reform, and state-building.
