Partisia

Partisia is a technology project focused on privacy-preserving computation and data collaboration, combining multiparty computation (MPC) with blockchain technology. It aims to enable secure, confidential data processing across distributed systems and applications.

Central to its approach is allowing multiple parties to jointly compute on shared data without exposing their private inputs. This is complemented by privacy-enhancing smart contracts and verifiable computation on a blockchain, designed to keep data confidential while producing auditable results.

Partisia has developed a Layer-1 blockchain platform, known as Partisia Blockchain, intended to support privacy-enabled decentralized applications and services. The platform seeks to integrate MPC-based privacy with public blockchain mechanics to enable confidential interactions.

The network uses a native token, PART, for governance, staking, and transaction fees. PART holders can participate in on-chain governance and contribute to network security through staking and validation.

Potential use cases include confidential data collaboration for enterprises, privacy-preserving DeFi protocols, data marketplaces, and compliant analytics. The project emphasizes data privacy and secure monetization while maintaining verifiability.

Partisia originated in the late 2010s through research and development teams in Europe and partners from academia and industry. It maintains open-source components and engages with the broader cryptography and blockchain communities to advance privacy-preserving technologies.
