Paralleelühenduses

Paralleelühendus is a term used in electronics to describe a specific way of connecting electrical components. In a parallel circuit, two or more components are connected across the same two points. This means that the voltage across each component in a parallel connection is the same.

Imagine two light bulbs connected in parallel to a battery. The electricity flows from the battery, and at a certain point, the circuit splits into two paths, with each bulb on its own path. After passing through the bulbs, the paths rejoin and the electricity returns to the battery. If one bulb burns out, the other bulb will continue to function because the circuit for it remains complete.

The total current in a parallel circuit is the sum of the currents flowing through each individual component. The equivalent resistance of a parallel circuit is always less than the smallest individual resistance. This is because providing multiple paths for the current to flow reduces the overall opposition to the flow of electricity. This principle is widely applied in household wiring, where multiple appliances are connected in parallel to the main power supply.
