Pallejà

Pallejà is a municipality located in the comarca of Baix Llobregat, in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the southwestern part of the Barcelona metropolitan area, approximately 15 kilometers from the city of Barcelona. The municipality is bordered by Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Sant Andreu de la Barca, and Molins de Rei.

Historically, Pallejà has origins that can be traced back to Roman times, though its significant development occurred during the medieval period. The name "Pallejà" is believed to derive from the Latin word "palatio" or "palaea," referring to a palace or a large building.
