Pakoventtiilejä

Pakoventtiilejä, or exhaust valves, are crucial components in internal combustion engines. Their primary function is to control the flow of exhaust gases out of the engine's combustion chamber. During the exhaust stroke of the engine cycle, the piston moves upwards, and the open pakoventtiili allows the burnt gases to be expelled into the exhaust manifold. These valves are typically made from heat-resistant alloys due to the extreme temperatures and pressures they encounter.

The design of pakoventtiilejä is optimized for efficient gas expulsion and to prevent backflow. They are seated in the cylinder head and seal tightly against their valve seats when closed to maintain compression within the combustion chamber.
