Paihuano is a commune and town in the Coquimbo Region of Chile, located in the Elqui Province. It is situated in the Elqui Valley, a region known for its clear skies, which make it ideal for astronomical observation, and for its Pisco production. The commune is bordered by Vicuña to the north and west, and by Río Hurtado to the south.
